IMP Aerospace: Wins modernization program for Chilean Navy
The EXA Consulting Group congratulates IMP Aerospace for winning the modernization program for the Chilean Navy’s fleet of P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft.
This work includes:
- the embodiment of the Lockheed Martin P-3 Structural Mid-Life Upgrade;
- the design and installation of a modernized “glass cockpit”;
- installation of upgraded engines; and
- a phased depot maintenance inspection package.
IMP won the contract over several competitors, including Lockheed Martin, who was the original equipment manufacturer of the P-3 Orion aircraft and is the manufacturer of the P-3 Structural Mid-Life Upgrade kit used in the program.
EXA was the proposal manager on this program, and EXA helped IMP address the unique and complex constraints of the Chilean RFP.
